Our story
All About Hymn exists to deepen appreciation for sacred song, strengthen the people who lead it, and make room for new hymns rooted in faith, history, and community.
Meet the founder
Gil Hamm Jr. has long been moved by the response of a congregation when hymns are sung with passion and conviction. In those moments, hymns become more than familiar melodies: they give people language for reverence, remembrance, hope, and shared faith.
That conviction gave rise to All About Hymn—a platform that uses workshops, concerts, podcasts, and creative gatherings to keep the hymn tradition alive while helping a new generation understand, perform, arrange, and write sacred music with authenticity.
“Hymns connect us with the faith, traditions, and values of those who came before us—and help us give voice to what God is doing now.”

How we serve
Musicians, leaders, and enthusiasts gain the skills and insight to interpret and lead hymns with passion, theological care, and musical excellence.
Shared worship and live performance create vibrant spaces where the Church can celebrate, remember, and renew the hymn tradition together.
Podcasts, teaching, and creative dialogue bring the historical, spiritual, and cultural significance of hymns to a wider audience.
